Create Tissue Paper Packs for Patients Battling Cancer
During chemotherapy, patients often lose their nose hairs, causing a constant case of the sniffles and nasal drip. Volunteers will decorate tissue packs for cancer patients with paper, embellishments, and words of inspiration and kindness. These decorated tissue packs will be given to Gilda’s Club Westchester and will let the cancer patient know that others are thinking of them. There is free parking for volunteers at the Westchester County Center. Let the parking attendant know you are there to volunteer for the 9/11 event. This is a family friendly event. If you are interested in signing up as a family, please choose Sign up with a team. Volunteers must be 14 years old or 7 with an adult to participate in this event. This project is a part of 9/11: Serve + Remember.
