BLACK LIVES MATTER
June 2, 2020: Volunteer New York! stands with those fighting for the dignity and the rights of Black community members. We believe systemic racism must be addressed head-on, openly discussed, and challenged on all levels. We believe actionable steps need to be taken to eradicate systemic racism to achieve racial equality.
On this page, we have begun to aggregate the organizations in our region that fight inequality and work to uplift and support Black community members. We know this list is not definitive, and it will change, but it is a place to start. We hope you will support these organizations listed below and learn about their missions, the roles they play in our community, and what their active needs are, and how you can support their work--so that their work can continue.
