2017 Pitch In For Parks
Each April WPF and the Parks Department host Pitch in for Parks. It is our largest one-day volunteer program which falls around Earth Day every year. Volunteers take on special projects throughout the county parks to help get ready for the peak season. They paint, rake, prepare and plant flower beds, build footbridges and boardwalks in the woods, clear trails and shorelines, monitor biodiveristy, restore wildlife habitats and remove invasive vines from trees. Join in this community effort and help us prepare for spring! Things to bring: Water bottle Work gloves if you wish to use you own YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THE PARK YOU PLAN TO VOLUNTEER AT WITH THE CORRECT NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN YOUR PARTY! PLEASE BE AWARE THAT SOME OF THE NATURE CENTERS WILL HAVE THEIR EVENT ON APRIL 22nd!
