2018 Mobile Food Pantry Volunteers

In partnership with Feeding Westchester, a specialized 36-foot refrigerated truck brings a “market on wheels” to Open Door Port Chester parking lot one Saturday a month so that fresh, nutritious foods can be delivered directly to those-in-need. Food is set up as a farmer’s market where people can walk through to select their own food.

Volunteers needed! Volunteers set up tables, unload the produce from large pallets, and pre-bag smaller items. Volunteers clean up the parking area and stack the sorted piles of empty cartons, crates. Spanish Language Helpful. Must be able to Lift 20 lbs.

DATES: January 12, February 16, March 16, April 20, May 18, June 15

This activity takes place outside- please dress appropriately! It will take place RAIN, SUN, SNOW!

MUST BE 17 YEARS AND OVER TO VOLUNTEER. MINIMUM AGE 14 WITH AN ADULT.
