Create Literacy Kits for Rockland Head Start Programs

Volunteers will assemble literacy kits for The Feelings Book by Todd Parr. Children may learn how to read at school, but they learn to love reading at home. One of the best ways to achieve this love is via reading enrichment activities which build on themes within a book. Volunteers will cut out and package puppets for underprivileged children so they can practice retelling the tale. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old or 12 years old with an adult to participate in this event. Parking onsite at Granito Dining Center. This project is a part of 9/11: Serve + Remember.
