Volunteer Medical Supply Sorters
Afya's mission is to improve global health by rescuing surplus medical supplies and delivering them to underserved health systems around the world. Its objectives include:
- To improve the quality of and access to healthcare in underserved communities while providing a simple mechanism for U.S. healthcare institutions and professionals to improve global health standards.
- To reduce the environmental impact in our own country by diverting "waste" from landfills and incineration.
- To provide unique and structured opportunities for local volunteers from vulnerable populations to engage in altruistic activities.
AFYA is looking for volunteers to help sort through donated consumable, personal care, surgical, and humanitarian supplies. These sorted goods will be included in shipments to the Caribbean, Africa, and local health systems. Express interest below!
