Opportunity Details

Horse Barn Volunteers

At Green Chimneys, students with special needs learn to ride, care for, and connect with equines as part of a comprehensive nature-based education experience and treatment plan. Its Horse Barn is home to 15 horses, 3 camels, donkeys, and mini horses.

Committed Horse Barn Volunteers are needed to assist weekly in support of the educational riding program. Volunteer tasks can include brushing and tacking horses, preparing horses for riding classes, mucking paddocks and stalls, helping with feedings, and assisting with the riding classes themselves. Experience is not needed and all training will be provided.
