Volunteer Puppy Raisers
Putnam Service Dogs is looking for Volunteer Puppy Raisers to care for, love, exercise, train basic obedience cues, and socialize its rescue puppies. Volunteers will attend weekly group training classes, usually held during the weekday, and Putnam Service Dogs' trainers will visit volunteers' homes to provide support and guide volunteers on how to raise a service dog puppy.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn a lot about dogs and care for a puppy before the puppy embarks on its service dog journey. Volunteer Puppy Raisers are also provided vacation relief when they need a break. Volunteers can choose whether they raise a pup for 6, 12, or 18 months for Putnam Service Dogs.
