Waterfront Park Clean-up at The Beczak Center (Yonkers)
Volunteers will participate in a clean-up of our waterfront and park. They will also help with the weeding on non-native plants and vines in our tidal marsh and children's garden. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, or 5 - 15 years old with an adult and signed Youth Waiver to participate in this event. Volunteers should dress for being outside and wear clothes that they don't mind getting dirty. Sunscreen and bug spray are recommended. Please bring your own reusable water bottle. Parking: There are 2 parking lots available onsite to use. Look out for the signage to help. We ask that all volunteers who are 5 and older be vaccinated unless they have a compromised immune system. We are monitoring covid levels in the counties and will follow CDC guidelines for any masking requirements we might put in place. This project is a part of 9/11: Serve + Remember.
