Create Cards for the Troops – Iona University

United For the Troops was created by friends and families of our troops serving the U.S. overseas. Our sole purpose is to make life while at war a little better for our brave men and women serving in the U.S. military by sending care packages with goods that the military does not provide them. Volunteers will write inspirational notes and cards for deployed service members. These notes will be included in care packages sent by United for the Troops to deployed service members letting them know someone is thinking of them. They're the first thing our servicemen and women see when they open their packages, and they remind our military how thankful we are. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old or 5 years old with an adult to participate in this event. All children 5 to 17 years old must be with an adult at all times and fill out a youth waiver. PARKING: There is parking in the garage which is a 0.2 mile walk to Spellman Hall. Look out for the signage to help. We ask that all volunteers who are 5 and older be vaccinated unless they have a compromised immune system. We are monitoring covid levels in the counties and will follow CDC guidelines for any masking requirements we might put in place. This project is a part of 9/11: Serve + Remember.
