2022-2023 Academic Mentors for Elementary School Kids - Yonkers
Family Service Society of Yonkers is looking for Volunteer Mentors to help elementary-aged children at schools in Yonkers to build their reading skills. Sessions are offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
During these weekly one-on-one sessions, volunteers will be matched with a student and provided with reading materials and worksheets. This is an ideal opportunity for students, retirees and seniors.
Volunteer Mentor requirements:
- Must be 16+
- Must be able to commit to weekly sessions until May 2023
