2022 Colonial Pirate Tavern Night
Get ready to party like a pirate! The Huguenot and New Rochelle Historical Association kicks off ArtsFest 2022 by transforming the Thomas Paine Cottage into an 18th-century tavern with period music, food, fire, and fun. This event recognizes Thomas Paine's time as a privateer as pirates take over the Cottage. All proceeds will benefit educational and community events and historical preservation work. This is a rain or shine event.
Volunteers are needed for the following roles:
- Setup Crew (3-5 p.m.): help set up tables, buffet area, and fire pits
- Tavern Servers (5-8 p.m.): walk around and offer appetizers to attendees
- Buffet Table Volunteers (5-8:30 p.m.): replenish food and supplies, help box up any leftovers
- Fire Pit Volunteers (5-8:30 p.m.): assist with supplies for outdoor fire pits and adhere to safety guidelines. NOTE: this role is weather-permitting
- Tavern Table Volunteers (5-9 p.m.): assist with supplies at the indoor Colonial Tavern area
- Teardown crew (9-10:15 p.m.): help break down and clean up post-event
Volunteers can sign up for multiple shifts below. Pirate costumes are encouraged!
