AARP Tax-Aide Counselors - Westchester County
An AARP Tax-Aide Counselor provides free income tax return preparation and answers tax questions for low- to middle-income and older taxpayers in the community.
Successful counselors should exhibit the following skills and qualities:
- Enjoy meeting and working with a diverse community of people in a team environment
- Be detail-oriented with good reading, math, and communication skills
- Have experience with taxes (not required but a plus)
- Experience with tax software (not required but a plus)
- Have experience working with PC computers
- Have email access
Volunteer Tax-Aide Counselors can volunteer one or more days per week at any of the 17 different sites throughout Westchester County during the February-to-April tax filing season. Training is required and will begin in December. This is a great opportunity to help taxpayers in the community. Express interest below!
