Opportunity Details

2022 Reverse Advent Calendar Holiday Drive

Help support Westchester's children and teens in need this holiday season by participating in the Sharing Shelf's Reverse Advent Calendar Holiday Drive! Volunteers will fill a box with clothing and essential items throughout the month of December, and all items will be distributed to children in need in January. This is a perfect opportunity for families, congregations, book clubs, classrooms, or colleagues!

To volunteer:

  1. Click "Express Interest" (or "Express Interest With a Family, Group or Team" if volunteering with someone else or a group) to alert the volunteer coordinator of your interest
  2. Select a big box that can hold 24 items
  3. Each day from December 1-24, add an essential item from the list below into your box. NOTE: All items must be new. There is a critical need for youth boy clothing (sizes 4T-14), so new items for that gender/size would be appreciated!
  4. Beginning January 2, drop off the completed box to Sharing Shelf's Warehouse at:

    47 Purdy Avenue
    Port Chester, NY 10573

Drop off on the following days beginning January 2:
    • Mondays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
    • Tuesdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
    • Wednesdays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
    • Thursdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
    • Saturdays from 10 a.m.-12.30 p.m.
