Talk Turkey Food Drive & Distribution Volunteers
People to People is the largest hunger-relief organization in Rockland county. Every month more than 1,300 households—that's more than 4,000 people in Rockland!—rely on its food pantry to put food on the table. The Talk Turkey Food Drive is an annual program that provides a turkey and accompanying food package with all the fixings in order to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal to each and every household that asks for help. The Rockland community comes together every year to donated food and to volunteer to make this program a success!
People to People is looking for up to 10 volunteers for each day to assist with receiving, sorting, and stocking food donations as well as preparing the Thanksgiving food packages for neighbors in need. Volunteers are asked to only sign up for a shift below if they are able to commit to the entire time of the event. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and non-slip shoes as this event will involve standing and walking. No heavy lifting is involved, but volunteers may be asked to lift grocery bags full of food (about 20-25 pounds).
Sign up for one or more shifts below!
