Adaptive Tennis Volunteers
Fun For Cure, Inc.'s Adaptive Tennis FUN program is looking for energetic and positive volunteers to motivate and build the confidence of children with special and/or medical needs. Volunteer Tennis Assistants—under the guidance of the Program Leader—make sure the children are safe and focusing on the activities. The volunteers also help to motivate the children with a fun and enthusiastic attitude.
Volunteers' roles include motivating, assisting, and praising children; tossing the ball to the children during tennis drills; maintaining safety on the courts; and assisting the leader in carrying out the group instructions. No tennis skills are required—just smiles and kindness—for fast-paced tennis drills and games.
Adaptive tennis sessions take place every Saturday from 4-5 p.m. (There is no tennis on the Saturdays closest to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.) Volunteer registration closes 48 hours prior to each shift and the coordinator will follow up with each volunteer within 1-2 days of expressing interest. Express interest in one or more dates below!
Age Minimum (with Adult): 11+, Minimum Age:14+
