2020-2023 Sort and Distribute Food to the Community
LIFE Progressive Services Group is a nonprofit serving the Mount Vernon community. It is seeking volunteers to assist with its weekly food distribution program, weather permitting, where they will help unload a delivery van, bring donated food items to the processing area for sorting and storage, and distribute the food to those in need in nearby neighborhoods.
Note: Volunteers must be punctual and be able to lift 10 to 50 pounds up and down one flight of steps. Volunteers should bring their own gloves and masks (though these can be provided if needed).
