2019 Holiday Stocking Stuffer Gift Drive for Students and Caregivers

Huguenot Academy, the alternative high school for the City School District of New Rochelle, is planning a special Holiday Stocking Stuffer Gift Drive for its caregivers and students, and it needs volunteers to help!

Volunteers can purchase any or all of the items on the wishlist below and drop them off at the school at the specified times. The grocery store gift cards will be distributed equally among 30 caregivers and parents of students who are unemployed or underemployed, while the stockings and stocking stuffer items will be added to "Holiday Totes" that will be gifted to 72 students to help spread a little cheer for the holiday season.

This is the perfect opportunity for a team of colleagues, families, and religious groups to join in on a project for their neighbors and local students who otherwise wouldn't have anything in their stockings this year.

Holiday items needed:

• $30 gift cards from local grocery stores (Target, Shop Rite, Stop & Shop, C-Town, or Foodtown)
• $25 CVS gift cards
• Holiday stockings or medium-size tote bags
• Small sketch/activity pads or coloring books (new and unused)
• Scented markers (new and unused)
• Chapsticks (new and unopened)
• Bottles of bubbles or putty
• Bottles of hand lotion (new and unopened)
• Stress balls or squishy toys
• Peppermint-flavored candy canes (new and unopened)

This is a self-directed project. Please follow the steps below:

2. Purchase any or all of the items from the wishlist above
3. Deliver donations between 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, before December 22:
