2022 Program Launch Manager for People with Disabilities
One of the main goals of Westchester Disabled on the Move's "My Home, Not Nursing Home" program is to help people with disabilities who are 65 and younger to comfortably stay in their communities (or transition out of nursing homes and into their own apartments). This program includes homecare, an assigned service coordinator, subsidized apartment, medical equipment, new furnishings, household goods, and more.
The Volunteer Launch Manager will help create a successful launch strategy as well as assist with implementation of the "My Home, Not Nursing Home!" program. Tasks include:
- Define the image/brand of the program
- Design sustainable outreach campaigns (both in-person and virtual/social media)
- Assist website consultant with designing website presence
- Plan the marketing campaign and worktable for maintaining the program
This is a three-month project that will require a creative person with strong management and people skills. The Volunteer Launch Manager must be able to meet with Westchester Disabled on the Move's executive director in-person as well as visit the organization's office in Yonkers in order to understand the mission and interact with the staff working on the program.
