Celebrate Birthdays With Older Adults

Everyone deserves to be celebrated on their birthday, and the best gift is friendly company! DOROT Westchester's Birthday Revelers Program is perfect for volunteers who are short on time but big on heart. Older adults in Westchester would love to welcome a volunteer into their home during their birthday month; during the visit, volunteers will share smiles, memories, and a treat.

Before the visit, Birthday Revelers stop by the DOROT Westchester's White Plains office to pick up a gift bag that includes a small gift item, a handmade birthday card, and two bite-sized desserts. Volunteers commit to one visit at a time. They can stay updated on upcoming birthdays using DOROT's online portal to schedule a visit that works with their availability.

Volunteer requirements:

• Must be 18+ to volunteer
• Volunteers 13+ may be signed up as part of an adult's family, group or team and must be accompanied by said adult, parent or guardian during the activity
• Must complete a 15-minute orientation via Zoom
• Must have valid government-issued ID
