Opportunity Details

2022-2023 Park and Garden Volunteer Days

Volunteers are needed to help with regular maintenance of the Ward Acres community garden and surrounding park land. Activities may include removing invasive plants; planting and harvesting in the community garden; light carpentry; planting native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers; and assisting with other biodiversity-related projects.

This is a great opportunity to learn about nature and sustainable agriculture, get out into the sunshine, and provide much-needed restoration of Ward Acres Park. Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather, bring water, and wear clothing that can get dirty!
