Caregiver Support Volunteers

The White Plains Hospital Caregiver Support Program is designed to provide support and resources to those caring for loved ones who are facing the challenge of acute or chronic illness. Caregiver Support Volunteers will be specially trained to provide emotional support, identify family needs, help families navigate the hospital system, and provide community resources. Often, volunteers say that they "get back more than they give!"

Volunteers who have been a family caregiver before and understand the challenges that families can face are especially encouraged to express interest. Caregiver Support volunteers only have to bring their compassion and kindness to the role. White Plains Hospital provides ongoing training and support for the duration of the project.

Volunteers will be asked to complete an application, an interview, and pass volunteer medical and hospital clearance. Express interest below to get started!
