2023 Family Volunteer Day

Volunteers are invited to celebrate Earth Day alongside Green Chimneys' farm team with both large and small projects. Volunteers will be working in the main barns, on the farm, or in the gardens on a variety of activities, including cleaning stalls, scrubbing buckets, maintaining tack, preparing garden beds, and feeding animals. There are tasks for different ages and abilities, and this is a great weekend activity for families! Come dressed for the weather and be prepared for a fun and interesting morning of hands-on work.

Each family will be assigned to a project at one of the following locations:

• Farm & Wildlife Center
• Children's Garden
• Boni-Bel Organic Farm

The animals and gardens help the students with special needs at Green Chimneys School to make connections, build skills, and grow as individuals.
