Patient Experience Volunteers
White Plains Hospital is looking for Patient Experience Volunteers to help provide a welcoming environment and a listening ear when needed to inpatients and family members. Volunteers inform patients and their families of information, help connect to resources as appropriate, and act as a liaison with hospital staff.
Volunteer requirements:
- Prior work or volunteer experience in customer service
- Familiar with clinical healthcare settings
- Comfortable engaging in conversation with inpatients, conducting follow-up calls to patients and family members, and documenting interactions via iPad tablet
- Commitment of at least 8 months
This is a great position for a retired healthcare professional. Completion of application, reference check, interview and placement, and medical and background clearance are required prior to beginning volunteer position. Express interest below to get started!
