Board Members
Federated Conservationists of Westchester County (FCWC) is a nonprofit coalition whose mission is to provide leadership that educates about environmental issues, advocates sound decision-making, and unifies groups and individuals to protect and preserve Westchester's environment and address climate change.
Each year, its Board of Directors identifies key environmental issues to target in the coming year and discusses desired outcomes and strategies for accomplishing these goals. Board Members participate in workshops and events to educate citizens of Westchester County about environmental issues, as well as testify at hearings and speak out on environmental issues impacting the County.
FCWC is seeking individuals to join its Board of Directors. Board Member roles and responsibilities include:
- Attending bimonthly board meetings
- Attending and speaking at public hearings
- Serving on board committees
- Having experience, involvement, and an interest in Westchester County's environmental community
