2023 Northwell Health Walk at Westchester - Event Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to assist with the 2023 Northwell Health Walk at Westchester benefiting Northern Westchester Hospital and Phelps Hospital. Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles:

• Saturday, 5/20
  • Set-Up Volunteers (3-7 p.m.): assist event team with set up. This role requires some physical labor
• Sunday, 5/21
  • Greeters (7:30-10 a.m.): welcome attendees, direct them to check-in station
  • Food & Beverage (7:30-11:30 a.m.): distribute and replenish food and beverage items; maintain cleanliness at station
  • Activity Volunteers (7:30-11:30 a.m.): lead activity of volunteer's choosing such as warm-up exercises (dance, martial arts, hula hoop) or other fun activities (music, games, crafts)
  • Route Marshals (7:30 a.m.-12 p.m.): mark route with signs, ensure route is safe to walk, remove signs after all walkers are finished
  • Constellation/Finish Line (8 a.m.-12 p.m.): encourage attendees to sign constellation with message of gratitude or hope. Cheer on and give high-fives to participants returning from the walk
  • Breakdown Crew (10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.): assist with event breakdown. This role requires some physical labor

Volunteers are eligible for special giveaways and can take part in the free wellness therapies and other activities at the event. Express interest in one or more shifts below!
