Trail Maintenance Volunteers
Ward Acres Park is a 62-acre passive-use park in northern New Rochelle featuring several miles of trails through wooded and pasture areas. A group of seasoned volunteers maintains and improves the trail system in the park.
Volunteers are needed to assist the seasoned trail maintenance team to perform regular maintenance, including invasive plant removal, water channeling, trail rerouting, erosion protection, and other projects. Volunteers must be 18+ and should be capable of moderately strenuous work. Workdays may be canceled in the event of inclement weather.
This project requires volunteers to sign a waiver. To volunteer:
