Help New Rochelle Residents Apply for Affordable Housing
The City of New Rochelle is seeking volunteers to help residents complete local affordable housing applications. Volunteers will answer resident questions and assist in completing applications. Volunteers do not need to be housing experts; each volunteer will be provided training beforehand.
Volunteers must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to travel to the assigned location (address information provided once registered) for volunteer service in person
- Must be able to commit to a 1-hour virtual training
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of two 3-hour volunteer shifts, totaling 6 hours of volunteer service. Shifts are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 3-6 p.m.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check (at no expense to the volunteer)
- Must be able to utilize technology provided
- Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply (but not a requirement)!
