2023 Changemakers Council for Girls (Grades 8-12)

One World Girl's Changemakers Council is a group of middle and high school girls (grades 8-12) who want to develop their leadership skills, build friendships, mentor younger girls, and learn to use their voices to make positive change in the world. One World Girl is looking for girls to join its Changemakers Council for the 2023-2024 school year (September 2023-June 2024). The deadline to express interest is Friday, September 29.

Changemakers will:

• Attend monthly mentoring meetings (held Tuesday evenings via Zoom)
• Attend leadership workshops (held Tuesday evenings via Zoom)
• Attend in-person community events, including programs with professional artists, field trips, and the annual Empowerment Day on Broadway in New York City
• Use their voice in blog writing and social media postings
• Develop and implement a final "Take Action" research project that discusses a challenging societal issue and ways to impact the community with positive change
