We have recruited over 300 volunteers to supplement our small paid staff of mostly part-time employees, making us one of New Rochelle’s largest volunteer efforts.
Volunteer Opportunities at HOPE
If you wish to take advantage of any of these volunteer opportunities, you are more than welcome! You are required to schedule a date for groups of 3 or more people. Single volunteers can just show up.
Soup Kitchen
Dinner is served every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and the last two Mondays of the Month. Volunteers generally are needed between the hours of 4:30 and 6:00 PM on those days. Volunteers serve dinner to our clients, prepare “take-away” meals for distribution at the end of the meal and assist in clean up after dinner.
MINIMUM AGE: 13.
