Publicity Director
The Hudson River Audubon Society needs help publicizing its programs, events, and bird and nature walks in the lower Westchester community. The Volunteer Publicity Director would notify local news outlets via email or through online forums once or twice monthly; information to be publicized will be provided or is already available on the Hudson River Audubon Society website. No research would be required—a list of media contacts would be provided—but new ideas about publicity are always welcome!
This is a virtual volunteer role that can be completed on the volunteer's own time, however there will be deadlines for sending notices. This is the perfect opportunity for individuals with media experience looking to give back to their community as well as budding public relations and communications professionals who want to gain more experience.
