Data Entry Volunteers - Volunteer Services Department
The Volunteer Services Department at Family Services of Westchester seeks a volunteer to assist with data entry and some administrative tasks. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Volunteer Services, the Data Entry Volunteer will primarily support the Head Start program keeping track of in-kind donation and volunteer hour counts. These numbers will be entered into cloud software.
Volunteer requirements:
- Strong computer skills, particularly data entry
- Comfort using Excel and learning new software
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Patience and ability to manage expectations
- A commitment to treat all people with dignity and respect
- A friendly, warm demeanor
- Maintain confidentiality
The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The volunteer may select a preferred shift to be confirmed with the Senior Manager. Office Volunteers must have a minimum education level of high school or equivalent. Volunteers are needed at least once per week. Express interest below to learn more!
Family Services of Westchester's Head Start/Early Head Start is a federal government program that was created in 1965 to give preschool children from low-income families a "head start" on their readiness for elementary school. These centers aim to support families beyond the classroom.
