Native Tree Maintenance at Marshlands Conservancy
Volunteers are needed to plant native trees and install protective fencing at Marshlands Conservancy. No experience is necessary! All supplies will be provided, but please bring your own water. Volunteers should wear clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes.
This tree planting is part of a study being done in the parks in partnership with CUNY and the US Forest Service. These plots of oak trees will be studied for responses to climate change and Beech Leaf Disease.
