2023 Holiday Gift Drive for Children and Teens

The Sharing Shelf is hosting a Holiday Gift Drive to benefit children and teens for five local organizations: Mount Vernon Youth Bureau, Theodore D. Young Community Center in Greenburgh, Port Chester Community Gardens, Family Services of Westchester's Quality in Action program, and the White Plains Youth Bureau.

Volunteers can participate by purchasing an UNWRAPPED gift for a specific child valued between $20-$25. For teens, consider buying a gift card to Target, Kohl's, or Visa/Mastercard/Amex. (Amazon gift cards are discouraged as most families cannot use Amazon and do not have Amazon Prime or a credit card).

Help spread a little holiday cheer for a child or teen in need this season! This is a perfect holiday opportunity for families, colleagues, and other groups.

This activity requires you to register on a separate website:

1. Express interest below to record this opportunity in your Volunteer New York! profile and alert the volunteer coordinator.
2. Click here to select one or more children/teens from the list who you'd like to purchase a gift for. Volunteers who do not complete this step will not be registered!
3. Click "Sign Up" next to that child/teen's name
4. Purchase your age-appropriate gift (or gift card) valued between $20-$25
5. Label your unwrapped gift with the child's name, age, and the code next to their name from the sign-up. Do NOT wrap your gift! (Donations of gift bags, ribbons, and tissue paper are welcome)
6. Write a note or card to include with the gift
7. Drop off or ship your unwrapped gifts by Monday, December 11 at:
