Volunteer Translators (Portuguese)
Bilingual volunteers who are fluent in Portuguese are needed to assist American Red Cross instructors during the Prepare the Town event in Mount Vernon. Instructors will be delivering disaster preparedness trainings in English, and Volunteer Translators will be translating this instruction to Portuguese-speaking attendees. Volunteers may also be asked to help greet Portuguese-speaking guests as they arrive and direct them to the training rooms.
Volunteer requirements:
- Must be fluent in speaking Portuguese and English
- Must be comfortable translating live instruction from English to Portuguese
- Must be 18+
- Must be able to attend a mandatory orientation the week of November 27
