Board President
The Ossining Food Pantry's mission is to address the food insecurity of its neighbors in the Ossining and Briarcliff community. The Pantry makes a huge impact in these communities by providing a healthy mix of shelf-stable and fresh foods to approximately 350 households—or about 1,000 people each week! Food insecurity is one of the most pressing issues of our time. As head of the Ossining Food Pantry, the new president will be able to lead efforts which directly impact the quality of life for our neighbors.
The Ossining Food Pantry is a 100% volunteer organization with no paid staff. Currently, over 100 people volunteer with the pantry each week.

- Provide fiduciary oversight for long-term financial viability. Grow fundraising efforts and overall dollars by assisting with development efforts, setting and achieving financial goals, and personally soliciting gifts
- Board Relations: participate in Board and Executive committee meetings (currently held via Zoom), help shape the agenda, and engage in discussion, deliberation, and decision-making to advance the mission
Requirements:
- Previous board experience
