2024 Sneaker Drive for Children
Imagine a child who can't join a soccer team, play basketball, run track, or who faces ridicule from their peers. Imagine children with no sneakers, whose sneakers have holes, or whose sneakers are two sizes too small.
The Sharing Shelf is looking for volunteers to help meet this basic need and ensure more children county-wide have this essential item. Volunteers are asked to select a child or children from the Sharing Shelf's list and purchase a pair of athletic sneakers in their size. With volunteer help, these children will be able to join their peers in team-building activities!
This is a self-directed project. To volunteer:
- Express interest below to record this opportunity in your Volunteer New York! profile and to alert the volunteer coordinator.
