Volunteer Drivers
Songcatchers is seeking volunteers to drive its Piano Mentor to the New Rochelle train station at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday to Friday after the After-School Music Program has concluded.
Songcatchers' After-School Music Program offers lessons on musical instruments to children ages 7-13, many of whom cannot afford private lessons. The children are taught by high school, college, and community volunteers. The volunteers themselves are mentored by a professional musician and music educator who serves as a resource and a guide in their teaching. Training includes an informal interview, orientation sessions, and ongoing meetings and training throughout the year.
