Concert Arrangements Committee Members
Friends of Music Concerts presents chamber music concerts with outstanding musicians at affordable prices. There are seven concerts per year: four in the fall and three in the spring. The organization's Arrangements Committee is responsible for the presentation of these concerts to ensure a successful production.
Responsibilities include handling logistics for:
- Venue selection and contracts
- Concert set-up
- On-site rehearsal arrangements
- Piano rental and tuning
- Refreshments for performers
- Procuring light and sound technical support
- Procuring floral arrangements
- Interfacing with custodians and other school personnel
- Assigning concert day tasks to Board Members
- Placing temporary handicapped parking signs
Friends of Music Concerts is seeking two volunteers to share this workload along with the Arrangements Committee Chair. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned concerts or events retiree who can lend their wisdom or a budding professional looking to build up their experience. Express interest below!
