2024 PrideWorks Conference
Volunteers are essential in making sure that the annual PrideWorks Conference runs smoothly; activities include decorating and setting up signage, preparing the workshop rooms, greeting participants, providing directions, recording attendance, supervising activities, and assisting with clean-up.
Volunteers can sign up for one or more shifts below:
- Morning shift (7:30-9:30 a.m.): welcome participants and assist with registration
- Afternoon shift (12:15-3 p.m.): guide participants to their workshop rooms and record attendance at workshops
PrideWorks'® mission is to inform the community about the realities of growing up gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, and to inspire them to respect and support LGBTQ people and to advocate for positive change. PrideWorks is a conference that serves students from more than 70 middle and high schools and 10 colleges and universities. Approximately 70% of attendees are students and 30% are adults. Adults include teachers, psychologists, social workers, Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) Advisors, youth care workers, parents or guardians of LGBTQ youth, advocates, and social justice seekers, among others.
