2024 Corporate Partnerships Internship
One of the ways Volunteer New York! seeks to promote volunteerism in our community is by partnering with local companies who are looking to develop or enhance their employee volunteer program. The Corporate Partnerships Internship is the ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about volunteerism and interested in learning more about how corporations engage their employees in volunteerism.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning and coordination of upcoming Corporate Days of Service including:
- Developing curriculum and conceiving volunteer projects
- Coordinating site visits to potential partner agencies
- Ordering supplies
- Developing customized planning forms that provide project details (i.e. project descriptions, contacts, directions, etc.)
- Assisting with management during a Corporate Day of Service
- Assist with post-event coordination including:
- Gathering post-project debrief information
- Reporting back on impact data
- Support the Corporate Partnerships team in ensuring the most effective utilization of internal database for managing corporate relationships
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Corporate Partnerships team and other members of the Volunteer New York! team
Qualifications
- Strong computer and database skills
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team
- Willingness to learn new things
- Experience working with volunteers, corporations and/or in customer service will be considered a plus
- Be able to lift/move up to 35 pounds
- Maintain a good sense of humor

- Strong communicator. You’re comfortable talking with a broad range of individuals (all ages and stages) and groups (nonprofits and corporations), over the phone and through email
- Exceptional writing skills across a range of materials, from detailed curriculum to project implementation documents to emails
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus but not necessary to fulfill the needs of this role
