Volunteer Coordinator

Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to assist with a variety of tasks for its volunteer program. The Volunteer Coordinator will work directly with the Operations, Programs and Food Pantry team.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing, interviewing, and recruiting volunteers
  • Coordinating volunteer schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for food distributions, stocking, and special events/programs
  • Conducting orientation sessions
  • Maintaining the volunteer database
  • Assisting with volunteer recognition events

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to oversee multiple volunteer assignments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous experience in volunteer coordination, preferably in a non-profit organization, is a plus
  • Proficiency in using volunteer management software
  • Ability to work both in-person at the pantry and remotely/virtually
