Volunteer Coordinator
Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to assist with a variety of tasks for its volunteer program. The Volunteer Coordinator will work directly with the Operations, Programs and Food Pantry team.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing, interviewing, and recruiting volunteers
- Coordinating volunteer schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for food distributions, stocking, and special events/programs
- Conducting orientation sessions
- Maintaining the volunteer database
- Assisting with volunteer recognition events
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills to oversee multiple volunteer assignments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous experience in volunteer coordination, preferably in a non-profit organization, is a plus
- Proficiency in using volunteer management software
- Ability to work both in-person at the pantry and remotely/virtually
