2024 Heels & Wheels 5K Road Race & Walk
Burke Rehabilitation Hospital is hosting its Heels & Wheels 5K Road Race and Fun Run, and it needs volunteer help! Volunteers are needed to assist with the following activities:
- Pre-Event Set Up: help the Burke team set up for the event
- Welcoming Committee: stand between the parking lot and track and welcome arriving participants while directing them towards the event
- Water Stations: stand at assigned water station for the duration of the race, fill cups of water, and hand them to participants as they pass by. This activity requires the ability to stand for 3 hours
- Course Marshals: stand at particular locations out on the race course and cheer the runners on/direct them. This activity requires the ability to stand for 3 hours
- Post-Race Refreshments: supervise post-race refreshment table. Keep table organized and monitor stock, replenishing items as needed
- Guest Navigators: give directions to community members
