2024 New York Milk Bank Interns
The New York Milk Bank helps to improve the health and survival of infants in need by providing them with safely pasteurized donor human milk when their mothers’ own milk is unavailable or insufficient. It is dedicated to ensuring the safety and quality of donor milk and to reducing health disparities in the use and distribution of donor milk.
The New York Milk Bank depends on volunteers to help with a variety of tasks so that it can fulfill its mission of providing precious donor milk to infants in need. It is currently seeking two mature and independent teens 2-3 times per week after school (from 3-4:40 p.m.), and the organization will be happy to sign any service paperwork required by the volunteers' high school.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Assembling donor and shipping packets
- Putting together boxes for donors and recipients
- Packing orders for outpatients
- Assisting Lab Technicians, as needed
