Theater Ushers and Greeters
MorDance is seeking friendly and reliable individuals to serve as ushers and greeters for performances at its studio/theater space. High school and college students are encouraged to apply for school credit and valuable experience in the arts.
Schedule
- Tuesday, April 30 from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: student matinees
- Wednesday, May 1 from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: student matinees
- Thursday, May 2 from 7:30-10 p.m.: public performances
- Friday, May 3 from 7:30-10 p.m.: public performances
- Saturday, May 4 from 7:30-10 p.m.: public performances
Roles and responsibilities
- Greet patrons as they arrive and assist with seating
- Distribute programs and provide information about the performance
- Monitor audience behavior and assist with any inquiries or concerns
- Help maintain a welcoming and organized environment in the theater
Perks
- Volunteers will have the opportunity to watch the performance for free during their shift
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and courteous in high-pressure situations
- Punctuality and reliability
- Interest in the arts and enthusiasm for supporting live theater
