"Day In the Life" Virtual Connections for Seniors
One Change at a Time's Virtual Connections program provides isolated seniors, either at home or in a long-term care facility, a peek into the life of local youth and young adult volunteers as they participate in everyday outdoor and indoor activities. The goal is to enhance the lives of these seniors by providing an opportunity to stay socially active and engaged with youth and to bridge generations.
Volunteers will record video clips or voiceovers of their selected everyday activity, such as eating, sleeping, exercising, trips (to the city, museums, gardens, parks, etc.), sporting events, schoolwork, and weekend activities. To help limit repetition and encourage engagement and quality, One Change at a Time staff will guide and train volunteers on details such as video quality and length, topics, locations, and edits.
These videos will then be shared via YouTube and social media for seniors ages 65 and older to enjoy. Express interest below to learn more!
