Trails Without Limits Handcycling Program
Westchester Parks Foundation's Trails Without Limits Handcycling program is offered to individuals living with spinal cord injury, amputation, paraplegia, or other mobility concerns. These individuals will have the opportunity to use Westchester Parks Foundation's new handcycles on Bicycle Sundays in Westchester County at no cost to the user.
Volunteers may be tasked with:
- Assisting with guest check-in
- Cycling with a participant
- Walking beside a participant in the beginner section
- Helping with set up or breakdown of event
Volunteers must:
- Commit to at least three 2-hour shifts throughout the season (May-October)
- Be reliable, personable, and have a passion for working one-on-one with individuals from marginalized communities
- Be at least 17 years of age
