Blood Drive Ambassadors - Elmsford
Blood Drive Ambassadors are volunteers who meet and greet blood donors and monitor their safety during the blood donation process and record accurate information to register donors using a simple computer program (training will be provided).&
Blood Drive Ambassador activities:
- Greet donors
- Maintain a professional, cheerful attitude while registering donors
- Observe donors for adverse reactions following the donation process while serving refreshments necessary for the replacement of vital body fluids
- Alert staff immediately if a reaction occurs
- Maintain a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere for donors as they prepare to be released
Blood Drive Ambassador qualifications:
- A desire to help
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to record accurate information and provide confident, pleasant direction to donors
- Dependable, friendly, and attentive
- Enjoys working with people
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Mobility (needed to attend to donors)
- Must volunteer for two (2) blood drive or donor center shifts a month
