Food Pantry Volunteers
Peekskill Community Action Partnership (Peekskill CAP) is seeking volunteers to assist with its food pantry. Those who are bilingual (Spanish-English) are especially welcome!
Volunteer tasks include:
- Registering clients who arrive (data entry, collecting documents)
- Retrieving food pantry deliveries
- Sorting food and other pantry items
- Stocking shelves, rotating inventory
- Displaying food items for Client Choice Pantry
- Assisting in distribution of food to clients
- Assigning tasks to pantry volunteers
- Unloading truck containing food deliveries
