Cob Garden Wall Builders

D.I.G. Farm is looking for volunteers to get their hands (and feet!) muddy while learning how to build a modern "cob" garden wall for its new Wild Roots Initiative.

Volunteers will get hands-on experience with a sustainable building method called "cob building" in order to create an artistic and functional garden wall. Volunteers do not need prior experience, but they must be willing to get dirty and need to be able to lift 30 pounds.

Tasks include lifting rocks, mixing "cob" (a mixture of clay, sand, and straw) using hands and feet, moving materials, and using small hand tools and wheelbarrow.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own snacks, work gloves, and wear sun protection and clothing that can get muddy. Water and drinks will be provided!

The opportunity date and time you are looking for is no longer available.
